Welcome to the BloonsGuide.com walkthrough for Bloons TD 6's brand new Patch 40 Quest / Experiment, "Intense Bloon Rounds."

In this short guide, you'll learn how to beat Intense Bloon Rounds with no monkey knowledge required, and you'll better understand why this strategy works.

This strategy was created by GameSteed on YouTube, and the screenshots in this guide are from GameSteed's guide. Please subscribe to GameSteed and thank them for this awesome guide!

Secondly, we replicated GameSteed's strategy and won with no Monkey Knowledge, but there were points in the guide where we did not have the same amount of gold as GameSteed in the video. This is OK - as long as you make the required purchases soon after they're indicated, you should beat the Quest with no issues. Some upgrades may even be unnecessary (like the final Ice Monkey top path upgrades).

Finally, this footage was recorded on BTD6 Version 40. If you find this strategy no longer works on future patches, please let us know!

Let's get started.

How Does the Intense Bloon Rounds Quest Work?

You will face many Bloons and MOABs, and those Bloons and MOABs will arrive quickly. So quickly, in fact, that a BAD MOAB will spawn on Round 30! To beat the challenge, you must build a stellar defense as early as you can.

The official description of the challenge is this:

"Build your defenses and survive the crucible of Intense Bloon Rounds with a BAD on round 30. Pick your hero before jumping in. NOTE: High level Monkey Knowledge recommended."

This guide requires no Monkey Knowledge to beat. Let's jump in!

How to Beat Intense Bloon Rounds with No Monkey Knowledge

Our first tower placed will be the hero Obyn Greenfoot.

Commanding powers of nature, Obyn can shoot through solid obstacles with his spirit wolf attack.

Our strategy for this Quest revolves around Poplust Druids. Choosing Obyn allows us to make use of the pierce buffs Obyn provides to nearby Druids.

Round 1

To start, place Obyn Greenfoot in the corner of the last loop, and place a Druid to his right. Then, upgrade the Druid to 0 / 0 / 2.

At the end of Round 1, place another Druid below Obyn and upgrade it to 0 / 0 / 2.

Round 2

At the end of Round 2, place another Druid in the middle of your first two Druids and upgrade it to 0 / 0 / 2.

Third Druid placed between the first two Druids

Round 3

At the end of Round 3, place another Druid to the right of your first Druid and upgrade it to 0 / 0 / 2.

Round 4

At the end of Round 4, place another Druid (see where this is going?) in the middle of your third and fourth Druids and upgrade it to 0 / 0 / 2.

Intense Bloon Rounds 5

Round 5

At the end of Round 5, upgrade your first Druid to 0 / 1 / 2, or Thorn Swarm in the middle path.

Round 6

You're going to lose some health on Round 6, but this is what we want. Heart of Vengeance increases the Druid's attack speed each time lives are lost. Per the Wiki:

"Gains 10% attack speed and 1% for every life lost from the starting value after the upgrade. Maxes at 100% and diminishes if lives are restored."

GameSteed's guide mentions that you should be left with around 50 HP after the round; however, during our test, we were left with only 16 HP. This is still fine, and we were able to beat the Quest with only 16 HP for the rest of the rounds.

Then, at the end of Round 6, place a Monkey Sub in the stream at the start of the map and upgrade it to 3 / 0 / 0.

Finally, upgrade your first Druid to 0 / 1 / 3 and your second Druid to 0 / 1 / 2.

Round 7

At the end of Round 7, upgrade your second and third Druids to 0 / 1 / 3.

Round 8

At the end of Round 8, place an Alchemist below your second and third Druids and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 0. Then - and this is important - set its attack to 'Strong.'

Round 9

At the end of Round 9, upgrade your fourth and fifth Druids to 0 / 1 / 3. All your Druids should now be Druid of Wrath Druids with Thorn Swarm in the middle path.

Then, upgrade your Alchemist to 2 / 0 / 1, or Faster Throwing in the bottom path.

Round 10

At the end of Round 10, upgrade your first and second Druids to 0 / 2 / 3.

Then, upgrade your Alchemist to 3 / 0 / 2 (one upgrade in both the top and bottom paths).

Round 12

At the end of Round 12, place another Alchemist at the intersection of the first loop of the map and upgrade it to 1 / 0 / 3. Then, set its targeting to 'Close.'

Note: the Larger Potions upgrade isn't shown in the screenshot, but go ahead and upgrade it anyway (1 / 0 / 3).

There are many Lead Bloons sent our way during this challenge. This Alchemist will generate a ton of gold for us using Lead to Gold throughout the rest of the run.

Round 14

At the end of Round 14, upgrade your first Druid to 0 / 2 / 4, or Poplust.

Round 15

Upgrade your first Alchemist to 4 / 0 / 2 at the end of Round 15.

Then, upgrade your third, fourth, and fifth Druids to 0 / 2 / 3.

Round 17

At the end of Round 17, place an Ice Monkey on the opposite side of Obyn's intersection and upgrade it to 3 / 2 / 0.

Ice Monkey upgraded to Ice Shards and Deep Freeze

Round 19

At the end of Round 19, upgrade your Ice Monkey to 4 / 2 / 0.

Then, upgrade your second and third Druids to 0 / 2 / 4 Poplust Druids.

Round 20

At the end of Round 20, upgrade your fourth Druid to 0 / 2 / 4.

Round 21

At the end of Round 21, upgrade your fifth Druid to 0 / 2 / 4.

Then, place a sixth Druid above your fourth Druid (ensuring it's within range of Obyn and has a X5 Poplust buff) and upgrade it to 0 / 1 / 2.

Sixth Druid upgraded to Thorn Swarm and Heart of Vengeance

Round 24

At the end of Round 24, sell your Monkey Sub.

Then, place a Monkey Village to the right of your first Alchemist and upgrade it to 2 / 2 / 0. The Village should encompass all your Druids, Alchemist, and Obyn after upgrading the top path.

Finally, upgrade your sixth Druid to 0 / 2 / 3.

Round 25

At the end of Round 25, upgrade your sixth Druid to 0 / 2 / 4.

Round 28

At the end of Round 28, place a Spike Factory at the end of the map and upgrade it to 4 / 2 / 0.

Spike Factory with Spiked Mines and Even Faster Production

Note: There's a chance you may not have enough gold for Spiked Mines and the Even Faster Production upgrades immediately. If that's the case, save up for them during Round 29 and prioritize upgrading to Spiked Mines over Even Faster Production first.

Round 29

At the end of Round 29, remove the rocks in the second loop of the map. Then, sell your second Alchemist (the Lead to Gold one).

Finally, place an Ice Monkey at the bottom of the loop and upgrade it to 3 / 2 / 0.

Ice Monkey with Ice Shards and Deep Freeze

Note: there's a chance that you won't have enough gold to upgrade the Ice Monkey to 3 / 2 / 0 if you had to save gold for Spiked Mines / Even Faster Production during Round 29. If this is the case, try to save gold during Round 30 to upgrade to Ice Shards - but it's not super necessary if you can't.

Round 30

These towers should be enough to carry you through Round 30, but feel free to use Obyn's ability to take out some resulting Bloons if necessary.

And that's it!
