Welcome to the BloonsGuide.com walkthrough for Bloons TD 6's brand new Patch 40 Quest / Tale, "New Dart Just Dropped."

In this short guide, you'll learn how to beat both phases of New Dart Just Dropped with no monkey knowledge required, and you'll better understand why this strategy works.

If you'd like to skip to either Part 1 or 2, use the links below:

Part 1 - New Dart Just Dropped

The goal of New Dart Just Dropped's first phase is to save up $100,000 gold. To do this, we'll be placing several Banana Farms across the map - however, we also need to upgrade our Dartling Gunners a bit to ensure we can survive the Bloon rounds.

Rounds 1-3

The first few rounds are simple. Just point your Dartling Gunners towards the entrance of the map - they can handle all the startling Bloons.

Round 4

On Round 4, a Lead Bloon appears that your Dartling Gunners can't pop.

For this, simply wait until the Lead Bloon enters the Bloon Crusher (Bloon Press? Who knows.) at the top of the map, and then press the green button.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 1

Once the button is pressed, the Lead Bloon will be smashed and you can move on.

Round 5

Round 5 is also relatively simple. Just aim your Dartling Gunners towards the start of the line of Bloons and keep shooting.

Finally, upgrade the left-side Dartling Gunner to 1 / 1 / 0 at the end of Round 5. While this upgrade doesn't do much for us now (since there are no Camo Bloons), it will put us closer to Faster Barrel Spin and other middle path upgrades we'll need to beat the first phase.

Round 6

Round 6 has a ton of Bloons - and it's likely you'll lose a few hearts this round. You should be able to use the Bloon Crush at the top of the map again to clear out some of the wave, but it's not super necessary as we can deal with the heart loss.

Towards the end of the round, you can point your Dartling Gunners at the bottom left-hand corner of the map to catch any Bloons about to leak.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 2

Round 7

At the start of Round 7, upgrade your right-side Dartling Gunner to 1 / 2 / 0, or Faster Barrel Spin in the middle path. This upgrade will drastically improve your popping power.

You'll also receive your first Banana Farm this round for free. These are important, and will be our main source of income to reach our goal of $100,000.

For the Bloon line on Round 7, follow the same strategy and aim your Gunners at the start of the line to pick off the Bloons one by one. Be careful: there are a few Yellow Camo Bloons that move quickly during this stage, and you may need to aim your gunners at them specifically if they start to slip through.

Round 8

As soon as you have the gold on Round 8, upgrade your left-most Dartling Gunner to 1 / 2 / 0.

There will be a few more Camo Bloons this round, but the double Faster Barrel Spins should make quick work of the wave.

At the end of Round 8, upgrade your Banana Farm to 1 / 0 / 1. This will get us some progress toward the Marketplace upgrade in the bottom path. Always remember to hover your mouse over the Banana Farm occasionally to pick up the Bananas!

Note: you'll now also have a Glue Gunner to help slow and damage Bloons with acid. You can't upgrade him, but he'll be a valuable asset for the rest of the game.

Round 9

During Round 9 as you gain more and more gold, upgrade your Banana Farm to 2 / 0 / 2.

Then, at the end of Round 9, upgrade both Dartling Gunners to 2 / 2 / 0, or Laser Shock in the top path. This will give you even more popping power to help you power through the next few rounds and save gold.

Round 10

At the end of Round 10, upgrade your Banana Farm to 2 / 0 / 3, or Marketplace in the bottom path. Now you'll no longer need to manually collect the Bananas - they'll be collected for you!

Round 11

You'll see a few MOABs appear this round. It's important to focus on killing the MOABs first, even if the resulting Bloons sneak through the first loop of the map.

This map is relatively long, so you'll have time to pop the MOABs before any of the resulting Bloons leak. The Glue Gunner will also have a second opportunity to hit the resulting Bloons when they enter his range again in the top left-hand corner of the map.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 3

Round 12

At the end of Round 12, place another Banana Farm to the left of the first one and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 2. We'll upgrade this to a Marketplace soon.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 4

Round 14

Upgrade your second Banana Farm to 2 / 0 / 3 as soon as you have the gold.

Round 16

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 5 Now it's time for some real damage!

Once you have the gold during Round 16, upgrade your left-most Dartling Gunner to 2 / 3 / 0, or Hydra Rocket Pods in the middle path. These rockets will carry us far.

Round 17

Place another Banana Farm on the right side of the map at the end of Round 17 and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 2.

Important Note: Any time placing Banana Farms is mentioned throughout the rest of this guide, it will be referencing a Banana Farm placed above this one. You can place them anywhere you'd like, but the right side of the map gives us room to place many of them.

Round 19 - 21

Upgrade your third Banana Farm to 2 / 0 / 3 at the end of Round 19.

Then, at the end of Round 20, place another Banana Farm and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 2. You should then earn enough gold during Round 21 to upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 3.

Side Note: Aiming

When you have Hydra Rocket Pods, simply aiming at the top left-hand corner of the map for the entire duration of the rounds should be enough to clear these early rounds.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 6

You'll still need to pay attention during rounds with MOABs (or if any Bloons sneak through) though.

Round 22 - 23

Place another Banana Farm at the end of Round 22 and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 2.

Then, at the end of Round 23, upgrade it again to 2 / 0 / 3.

Round 25

Place another Banana Farm at the end of Round 25 and upgrade it to 2 / 0 / 3.

Round 26 - 44

You can clear much of Rounds 26 - 44 just by aiming your Dartling Gunners at the entrance of the map. Round 43 & 44 are a bit tough and you'll have to re-aim the gunners, but it's nothing serious.

You do not need to upgrade your second Dartling Gunner to Hydra Rocket Pods. Here's why:

Round 45 - Winning the Game

During Round 45, you should work your way up to $74,000 Gold.

At this point, we can sell all our Banana Farms and win the game! And that's exactly what we'll do.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 1 - 7

Each Banana Farm is worth $4,560 gold (minus the free farm, which is worth $3,560). This gives us $26,360 gold in total after selling everything.

And that's it! Now let's move on to Part 2 of the challenge.

Part 2 - New Dart Just Dropped

Part 2 of New Dart Just Dropped is significantly different.

This time, things aren't focused around generating gold and we no longer have a clear line-of-sight to Bloons. Instead, we must bounce our Dartling Gunner bullets off the guard rails to kill Bloons.

This part is tricky. But don't worry - we'll show you a few bounce points you can use to clear the challenge with ease.

Bounce Points

For the first phase of Part 2, we'll use three points on the map as outlined below:

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 Bounce Points

We know this image is a lot to take in at first glance, but it's relatively simple. The circled spots are where you'll place your mouse, and the arrows bouncing from those spots are an indication of where your darts will go after bouncing.

  1. Spot 1 is good for early round clearing and panic clearing if the last few Bloons start to leak.
  2. Spot 2 is best for large damage to Bloons when they enter the first curve of the map. This is the spot we'll use most.
  3. Spot 3 is great for clearing Bloons when they're located towards the end of the map.

Take a second to understand Spots 1, 2, and 3 - we'll reference these spots as such for the rest of the first phase of the challenge.

Rounds 1-3

Aiming your mouse at Spot 1 should carry you through Rounds 1-3 easily.

At the end of Round 3, upgrade your first Dartling Gunner to 1 / 2 / 0, or Faster Barrel Spin in the middle path.

Round 4

A Ceramic Bloon appears on Round 4, and we'll need a better shooting position to pop it.

Move your mouse to Spot 2 once Round 4 starts. This should allow you to pop the Ceramic Bloon. You can keep your mouse in Spot 2 after the Ceramic pops, even though some Bloons will make progress - they'll pop when they come back into the crossfire.

Round 5

Round 5 is a bit more difficult, as we'll have to pop a Regrow Ceramic.

Start the round aiming in Spot 2 to pop the Ceramic. Once the Ceramic pops, move your mouse to Spot 3 to shred the remaining Bloons when they're at the back of the map.

Then, move your mouse back to Spot 2.

Round 6

You'll see a few Ceramic Bloons this round.

Keep your mouse in Spot 2 during nearly the entire round. This should pop all the Ceramics and most of the resulting Bloons; however, you will lose some lives. It's OK.

Towards the very end of the round, you may choose to move back to Spot 1 to take out a few stragglers. That's fine.

Before Round 7, upgrade your first Dartling Gunner to 2 / 2 / 0 and your second to 1 / 2 / 0.

Finally, move your mouse back to Spot 2.

Round 7

Keep your mouse in Spot 2. Then, at the end of Round 7, upgrade your second Dartling Gunner to 2 / 2 / 0.

Rounds 8 - 9

Keep your mouse in Spot 2 and you should clear these easily.

Round 10

Now for the first MOAB!

Keep your mouse in Spot 2 to kill the MOAB. Then, once the resulting Bloons appear and the Bloons make their way to the end of the map, switch to Spot 3. This should kill all the Bloons - but if they start progressing back, you can switch back to Spot 2.

Round 11 - 14

These rounds will be a combination of switching between Spot 2 and Spot 3, using what you've learned about when to switch.

After each wave of Bloons, switch back to Spot 2.

There will be a few MOABs during these rounds. Again, use Spot 2 to kill them, and Spot 2 & 3 to kill the resulting Bloons.

Before Round 15

Before Round 15, upgrade your second Dartling Gunner to 2 / 3 / 0, or Hydra Rocket Pods in the middle path.

Rounds 15 - 16

You can keep your mouse in Spot 2 to pop all the Bloons in these rounds.

New Spots

At the start of Round 17, the barrier we've been using for Spot 2 & 3 will disappear. Bummer! We'll have to find some new spots.

Our new Main Spot will be located towards the right side of the bottom barrier, like so:

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 2

This spot will provide your main damage as MOABs and Bloons enter the map.

Our other spots will be the entirety of the bottom wall.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 3

  1. Moving your mouse to the right of the barrier will cause your shots to bounce to the left.
  2. As you move your mouse towards the center of the barrier, your shots will go up and slightly to the right.
  3. As you move your mouse towards the right, your shots will bounce to the left.

Rounds 17 - 20

Rounds 17 through 20 are simply a matter of moving your mouse to the left and right of the bottom barrier to pop Bloons where they are on the screen.

Use the right side to bounce your shots towards the start of the map, and move down as Bloons / MOABs make their way to the end of the map.

At the end of Round 2, upgrade your first Dartling Gunner to 2 / 4 / 0, or Rocket Storm in the middle path.

Rounds 21 - 22

Use the same strategy as before for these rounds.

Then, at the end of Round 22, upgrade your second Dartling Gunner to 2 / 4 / 0.

Round 23

For most of this round, keep your mouse at the right-most spot on the barrier to continue firing toward the beginning of the map.

You want to pop all the MOABs you can leading up to the ZOMG. It's OK if Bloons make it to the end of the map and loop back toward the middle - your shots should kill them as they come back into the crossfire.

Remember: Your goal here is to kill all the MOABs and the ZOMG as quickly as possible!

You should be left with just a ZOMG towards the end of the round. As the ZOMG starts to progress toward the end of the map, switch your mouse placement down the bottom barrier so that shots shoot upwards and slightly to the right depending on the ZOMG placement.

Then, as soon as the ZOMG pops, use your Rocket Storm abilities one after the other with a delay between abilities (i.e. let your first Rocket Storm finish before using the second).

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 4

The Rocket Storm rockets will occasionally bounce off the wall and hit the MOABs and Resulting Bloons. You'll want to keep your mouse in a spot that shoots upwards and slightly to the right to continue popping the MOABs and resulting Bloons.

Finally, once all the MOABs pop and the resulting Bloons start to make their way toward the end of the map, switch your mouse back to the right-most spot to clear them out.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 5

Round 24

For this round, prioritize killing the DDT first, moving your mouse down the wall when needed to continue hitting it as it progresses through the end of the map.

If done correctly, the DDT should die right before it makes it back to the middle of the map after looping at the end. Once it's dead, move your mouse back to the right-most spot to kill the Bloons it spawns after death.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 6

Then, as the Blue MOABs enter the final curve of the map, use your Rocket Storm ability while pointing your mouse at the right-most spot of the barrier to pop the MOABs and resulting Bloons.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 7

You can keep your mouse there to pop all the resulting Bloons.

Whew!

Round 25

The final round is very similar to the end of Round 24.

At the start of the round, keep your mouse on the right side of the barrier to clear the initial wave of Bloons.

Once the DDT appears, move your mouse down and up the barrier where needed to pop the DDT as it progresses. The DDT should die in a similar spot as the DDT in Round 24. Move your mouse back to the right side of the barrier once the DDT dies to kill the resulting Bloons.

As the final DDT loops around the end of the map and back towards the middle, aim towards it at the middle of the final barrier AND USE BOTH ROCKET STORM ABILITIES.

BTD6 New Dart Just Dropped Part 2 - 8

And that's it!
